India skipper Virat Kohli, who returned to India after the first of the four-Test series against Australia, has rejoined the side for the England Tests as captain. Kohli was seen sweating it out in his hotel room ahead of the opening Test against England at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on February 5.
Kohli is making the most of the quarantine period ahead of the four-match Test series vs England. Kohli took to social media to share a glimpse of his hotel room in Chennai wherein the India captain is in mandatory quarantine for 6 days.
“PropheC music and gym equipment are all you need during quarantine days. Work can be put in anywhere if you really want to. have a great day everyone,” Kohli captioned the post on Instagram.
India are all set to host England in a 4-Test series, starting February 5 in Chennai. The first 2 Tests will be played in the South Indian city before the action for the last 2 Tests, including a day-night match, shifts to Ahmedabad.
India players arrived in Chennai earlier this week and both the hosts and England are staying at Leela Palace in the city, according to the Press Trust of India.
The England tour marks the return of international cricket to India for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic brought normal lives to a grinding halt. England will play 5 ODIs and 3 T20Is following the Test series, which is part of the ongoing World Test Championship cycle.
