Rahkeem Cornwall took his second five-wicket haul as West Indies restricted Bangladesh to 296 in their first innings to get a handy 113-run lead on Saturday.

However, the hosts bounced back in the last session of play with three crucial Windies wickets as Mehidy Hasan became the fastest Bangladesh player to 100 Test dismissals.

Hasan got to the milestone in his 24th Test, one quicker than Taijul Islam. Mehidy became the fourth Bangladesh bowler to take 100 Test wickets after Mohammad Rafique, Shakib Al Hasan and Taijul Islam.

After the first innings, he was stranded on 99 dismissals, but it was just the ninth over of the West Indies second innings, when he dismissed Shayne Moseley to get to the landmark. Mehidy tossed the ball up and as the Windies batsman played a defensive shot, it bounced and spun, catching the edge through to second slip, where Mohammad Mithun took the catch.

The visitors faced 21 overs in their second innings and ended the day at 41-3 with the lead at 154 runs.

Brief Scores: West Indies 296 and 41 for 3 (Bonner 8*, Warrican 2*) lead Bangladesh 296 (Liton 71, Mehidy 57, Rahim 54, Cornwall 5-74, Gabriel 3-70) by 154 runs
