Pandya brothers Hardik and Krunal took to social media to heap rich praise on Baroda for their runners-up finish in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021 T20 tournament. Baroda lost to Tamil Nadu in the final at the Sardar Patel Stadium on Sunday as Dinesh Karthik’s men ended a 13-year-wait by winning their 2nd title.
Baroda did not have as many as 3 of their big stars, including captain Krunal Pandya who left the team after 2 matches following the death of his father. Baroda also did not have Hardik and all-rounder Deepak Hooda. However, Kedar Devdhar did a wonderful job, leading the team into the final with an unbeaten record.
Baroda found quite a few heroes as they stormed into the final with the likes of Devdhar, Vishnu Solanki and Karthik Kakhade stepping up at various stages of the tournament.
“Well Played boys, you should be proud of this achievement! @cricketbaroda” – Hardik Pandya.
“Top efforts boys! Superb performances in the tournament, we have come a long way and there’s a long way to go! @cricketbaroda” – Krunal Pandya.
